Due to her bold style statement, Lady Gaga was always censured by critics for being all 'schtick' and having zero talent. However, Gaga's rise to fame has been a moving journey of hard work, courage, resilience, and passion. From dealing with bullies in high school to facing brutal criticism in the industry, Gaga's story is inspiring.

Let's take a look at Lady Gaga's success story:

Early Life and Bullying

Lady Gaga was born in 1986 to Italian-American parents in Manhattan's Upper West Side. From the beginning, Gaga stood out for her work ethic and diligence. Soon after her parents enrolled her in a private Catholic school in Manhattan, the bullying began.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Gaga revealed that the merciless bullying helped her become stronger and overcome difficulties. She also suffered from mental health issues from a very young age.

Music Training

At the age of 11, Gaga started taking vocal lessons from Don Lawrence, a famous vocal coach in the industry. Lady Gaga has credited her coach on several occasions and said she trained with him every day.

Gaga learned to play several instruments, such as the classical piano, while also beginning her songwriting journey at the same time. She credits her piano lessons for being enabling her to write pop songs.

Life Struggles

After finishing her training, Gaga enrolled in NYU. However, she dropped out soon to start her music journey. She left her parents' house, lived in a small apartment, and started making music.

At 19, Gaga was signed by Def Jam Records, but soon they dropped her, leaving her crushed. For the next few years, Gaga struggled with drugs and worked at burlesque dive bars.

In 2008, she was discovered by Rob Fusari, a record producer who introduced Gaga to Interscope Records, where she worked with superstars like Britney Spears, Fergie, and Pussycat Dolls. The rest is history!
