3 Songs You Didn't Know Were Written by Ed Sheeran

We all know who Ed Sheeran is, and if for some reason you haven't heard of his name, you have definitely heard some of his most iconic songs, like "Shape of You" and "Perfect." Not only is Ed a very talented singer and songwriter who has managed to write almost all of his own songs, but he is also a very well know songwriter in the industry. He has collaborated and co-written for multiple artists like Taylor Swift, One Direction, BTS, Justin Bieber, The Weekend, and Shawn Mendes, among many others. But Ed isn't really vocal about the songs he works on, so many of his fans don't know a vast majority of the songs written by him. So, here is a list of songs that Ed Sheeran has worked on.

Permission to Dance

This is one of BTS's megahit songs and saw a lot of success, especially in the US. Ed Sheeran has previously written other songs for BTS, predominantly "Make It Right," which was featured on their album Map of the Soul: 7. But no song has seen as much success as Permission to Dance because the song started at number 1 on the Billboard Global 200.

Little Things

This was the second song ED wrote for One Direction, the first one being Moments, and this became his first hit written for another artist or group. The song saw massive success and was number one several times in 2012. This song paved the way for Ed as an established and respected songwriter in the American music industry.

Dark Times

The Weekend is an already established and highly adored musician, but this song was the first time The Weekend co-wrote with Ed Sheeran. The Weekend even stated that this was probably one of the quickest tracks he has ever written.
